Nakamoto Forestry is a timberland manager specializing in the manufacture of yakisugi “shou sugi ban”, controlling the entire process from seedling starts to jobsite delivery. We have optimized a holistic millwork process over three generations and offer yakisugi in all three traditional surfaces. These three surfaces are Suyaki (original charred), Gendai (brushed), and Pika-Pika (wire brushed). We inventory two wood grades, several moulded profiles, and apply oil finishes at our Portland, Oregon shop, shipping directly to projects throughout North America.
